SkyWatch Friday: Mixed sky shots

Last week the sky banged against my closed blinds and beckoned me outside.

I had already closed the blinds for the night because it was a stormy day and I had turned on the inside lights. I glanced at my white blinds and they were turned golden from the outside light so I grabbed my camera.

It was extraordinary how everything outside had a gold cast. The next shot was taken a few days later of a different sky.

I usually try to stick with one shot for SkyWatch Friday but this week it was too hard to decide.

The last shot was taken this Wednesday. I like to take photographs looking up through my dogwood tree.

What a beautiful collection, Carver. I cannot get over that gorgeous orange sky. I, too, would have hopped out of bed and gone for the camera. To me that sky would be like my seeing a rainbow and capturing it. The view up through the dogwood tree tells me autumn is really upon us. I’s so glad you decided to go ahead and post all of the shots....they were a great way to start my day....smiling :-)

Oh, how neat, to go from fiery orange to blue puffed clouds! And the leaves are delightful, too.

What an assortment! I can see why you had a hard time deciding. But the yellow and orange skies are amazing.

Beautiful shots and I love the imagery of the sky banging against your blinds.
Sometimes it seems that the very air has taken on the hue of the sky.

I'm not surprised it was impossible to pick just one. All lovely, and each one different.
