That's My World - Shots from around my house on Sunday

I didn't have any ideas this week, so I thought I'd fall back on showing you some recent shots from around my house.

Photobucket

These shots are all from yesterday (Sunday) which started as a rather wet and rainy day.

Photobucket

I love the way the berries look when they are dripping with rain drops. There is also a lot of different fungi because of all the rain we have had recently.

Photobucket

I tend to assume the red mushrooms are poisonous but something has been eating away at them.

Photobucket

Many of the flowers have already gone to seed but I have a late bunch of black eyed susan in bloom which is like a bonus plant.

Photobucket

I also had a late bunch of lantana start to bloom after most of the plants were spent.

Photobucket

The sun finally came out after a morning rain and the afternoon clouds were pink against a blue sky.

I used one of those very same red mushrooms for a Ruby Tuesday about a year ago. Okay, not the same ones but the same kind.

Awesome macro work here!

Such beautiful colours that really sum up this time of year just as summer has given way to autumn.

Lovely shots. If the red mushroom is a fly agaric, then it's toxic - but snails still love it. As do reindeer, who probably get high on it.

Same weather where I live in VA. I like the sky photo best. Sad to see the flowers stop blooming.

Great rain drop shots. I wish we have your rain. But the glow of the sun on the last last made it just the culmination of a wet day.

What a lovely post - the raindrop pics are my favorite. I don't get much of a chance to take photos like these around here... (sigh)

Oh you had some rain. I am like that sometimes I simply don't have anything in mind to show. But you ended up sharing beautiful photos you see around you. I love that lantana. I cant seem to grow it. Another lantana just died.

I'm assuming this is outside your house, not inside. The red mushroom can't be poisonous if it's being eaten. Really lovely photos.

Carver: What a neat look at the flora from your yard, great photos.

Isn't it amazing how differently you see things when you're in your photographer role? You've found great beauty in tiny spots. The raindrops in the first two are fantastic.

Love the rainsoaked dripping plants. Amonitas are poisonous in quantity but apparently if nibbled sparingly give you halluciations. Many snails and slugs are immune to mushroom poison that would easily kill us.
